Ageless Yogis Workshop is for Yoga teachers registered with the Yoga Alliance for 5 contact hours. The workshop is taught by Glenda Wynne R.N. ERYT 500 YACEP.
The population is aging and according to the national Census by 2030 it is projected that more than 1 billion people or 12% of the population will be over the age of 50 with half of that number between 65-75 years of age.
With the population aging yoga teachers would do well to understand and be able to implement the practices that match the aging body. "Ageless Yogis" covers breath work, philosophy, energy, meditation, focus on alignment and discipline to help all students retain or gain the quality of life that allows health and wellbeing in all stages of age.
Join Glenda to Learn:
- The process of aging, how the body and mind change and how yoga can help with the inevitability of the aging process
- How to teach students to continue their practices safely and effectively beyond the age of 50 even with challenges such as joint replacements or injury
- The basics of sequencing and modifications of the yoga practice for the aging population
- Review the "Cycle of Life Energy" which is a dependable set of cycles as explained in the teachings of "Humanology" by Yogi Bhajan
